The Bangalore Hospital’s Orthopaedics Department is a contemporary well equipped with 24 hrs emergency services including managing Accidents and Trauma patients. The Department of Orthopaedics has well established infrastructure and experienced Surgeons to tackle all kinds of orthopedic problems encompassing all age groups.

The Department is headed by Dr.Hemachandra Shetty.

The Department of Orthopaedics offers out-patient consultation and Inpatient services. It is well supported by fully equipped operation theatre (OT), intensive care units for pre- and post- operative care. The state-of-the-art OT is equipped with the latest fracture tables and imaging facilities including a C-arm image intensifier. The hospital is also equipped with CT scan and Digital X-ray for prompt screening facilities.

The department is supported by the most elaborate intensive care services, a modern Accident and Emergency department, and state of the art Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation department. We have established trauma protocols for the care of the critically injured patients and principles of Advanced Trauma and Life Support System (ATLS) are applied for the prompt and efficient treatment of accident victims.
